IGNIS

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 3 November 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy describes how BNK d.o.o. ("we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, and protects personal data when you use the IGNIS web system or the IGNIS Pro, IGNIS Volunteer, and IGNIS Vehicle mobile apps (together, the "App"). We protect that data in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Slovenian data protection law.

The App is a tool for fire services. It is used by professional and volunteer firefighters and by the unit that operates the account. It is not an advertising product.

3. Information we collect

  • Account data. The unit name you sign in with, your email address, and the password used to open the session. We store a session token on the device so you stay signed in.
  • Operational data. Interventions, addresses, notes, vehicle times, crew assignments, and similar records the fire service enters in IGNIS. The unit that owns the account can see this data in the web system and in the apps.
  • Precise location. IGNIS Vehicle and the other mobile apps may read the device location while the app is open and, when you allow it, in the background. We use it to show the vehicle or the firefighter on the map, to navigate to an intervention, and to support the response. You can turn location access off in the device settings. Navigation and the live vehicle position then stop updating.
  • Motion. The device may report whether it is moving, so the app can tell a trip from a stop. You can refuse this permission.
  • Photos. If you take or choose a picture for an intervention, that image is stored with the intervention. The camera and photo library are used only when you add a picture.
  • Notifications. A push token identifies the device so the unit can receive an alert for a new intervention. The alert shows the event and the street.
  • Device and crash data. We receive the device model, operating system, app version, and a crash report when the app fails. Google Firebase Crashlytics processes those diagnostics for us. We do not use an advertising identifier, and we do not use this data for ads.

4. How we use the information

  • To run the intervention, the map, navigation, and the unit record.
  • To deliver intervention alerts to the signed-in device.
  • To keep the account signed in and to support the unit that uses it.
  • To find and fix faults in the app.
  • To meet a legal duty when one applies.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Legal basis

  • Contract. Processing that is needed to provide the App to the fire service that uses IGNIS.
  • Consent. Device permissions you turn on, including location, photos, notifications, and motion. You can withdraw a permission in the device settings.
  • Legitimate interests. Keeping the service reliable, including crash diagnostics, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Legal obligation. Where the law requires us to keep or disclose a record.

6. Who receives the data

We share data only as far as the service needs:

  • Your fire service. Dispatchers and the unit see the operational record, including a location the app has sent.
  • Google. Maps and turn-by-turn navigation process the route. Firebase Crashlytics processes crash reports. Google may process this data outside the European Economic Area under its standard contractual clauses.
  • Pushy. The push service delivers the intervention alert to the device token.
  • Authorities. When the law requires a disclosure, or when it is needed to protect life.

7. Retention

Account and operational records stay for as long as the fire service keeps them in IGNIS, unless a longer period is required by law. Crash reports are kept only for as long as needed to diagnose the fault. You can remove the app, and you can ask us to delete personal data that we still hold, subject to the unit's own record-keeping duties.

8. Security

We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to an operational fire-service system, including access control on the account and encrypted transport between the app and the service.

9. Your rights

Under the GDPR you can ask us to:

  • give you access to your personal data
  • correct data that is wrong
  • delete data, or restrict how it is used
  • provide data you gave us in a portable form
  • object to processing based on legitimate interests
  • stop processing that depends on your consent

Write to podpora@ignis112.si. You can also lodge a complaint with the Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia (IP RS).

10. Children

The App is for fire-service staff. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

11. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top of the page is the date of the current version.
